The "allergy" field lists, by item name, the allergens used in that product. It is not a table with a column per item, so a name that does not appear is not a statement that the item is not used. The full ingredient list is not published, so any ingredient other than the allergens named cannot be determined from this page. Some product pages carry no such field at all. Of the 55 product pages this site checked, 45 had one; nine food products had none -- Tsuyu no Ka, Kyoto Zeri, Honneri Yokan, Daruma-san, Otezukuri Monaka, Kuzukiri, Oshima Yokan, Shiomame Daifuku and Iori no Ohagi -- and the one remaining page is not a food product. A product can lack the field even when an ingredient is named in the product's own name, as with Shiomame Daifuku ("salted-bean daifuku"), so the absence of the field does not show that the product is free of allergens. Only eight item names ever appear: soybean, egg, milk, wheat, sesame, yam, apple and almond. Sasaya Iori states on a different page that it covers the 7 items whose labelling is required and the 20 that are recommended, but that statement of range does not appear on the product pages, and the product pages themselves do not say what was checked before the entry was written.
