Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms govern your use of AllergySearch (search-allergy.com, the "Site"). By using the Site, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

2. Service

The Site is an information service that collects and organizes allergen information published by restaurant chains and other food service providers, to help people with food allergies choose where to eat. Listed information includes both entries registered by business owners and information the Site has collected from publicly available sources.

3. Important notice about allergen information

Allergen information on the Site is reference information based on publicly available materials and is not guaranteed to be accurate, current, or complete. Ingredients and production processes may change without notice, and the possibility of cross-contamination in production lines cannot be excluded.

If you have a food allergy, always check the official information of the restaurant or its operating company, or ask the staff directly, before visiting or eating.

The Site does not warrant that any given item is free of a particular allergen, that unintended cross-contact will not occur during preparation or manufacturing, or that an item is safe for any individual user. Information on the Site is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a physician or other medical professional.

4. Accounts

An account is required to use features for business owners. Keep your registered information accurate and up to date. You are responsible for managing your credentials; the Site is not liable for unauthorized use by third parties.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not: (1) register false information; (2) gain unauthorized access or place excessive load on our servers; (3) infringe the rights of third parties; (4) violate laws or public order; or (5) engage in any other conduct the Site deems inappropriate.

6. Intellectual property

Rights to the Site's content belong to the Site or to third parties holding legitimate rights. Trade names, trademarks, and published materials of listed companies belong to their respective owners.

We accept removal and correction requests for listed content from the company operating the venue or chain concerned. See the "Content removal and correction requests" page for the procedure.

7. Changes to or suspension of the service

The Site may change, suspend, or terminate the service without notice, and is not liable for damages caused to users as a result.

8. Disclaimer

Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Site, the Site is not liable for damages incurred by users through use of the Site.

Nothing in this article or these terms excludes or limits any liability of the Site that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where the user is a consumer under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan, this article does not apply to the extent that Act renders it void.

9. Changes to these Terms

The Site may amend these Terms as necessary. Amended Terms take effect when posted on this page.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the operator's location.
