Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
1. Introduction
This policy describes how AllergySearch (search-allergy.com, the "Site") handles user information.
2. Information we collect
The Site may collect: (1) preference data stored in cookies or in your browser's local storage (selected allergens, display settings, etc.); (2) registration details such as email addresses when business owners create an account; (3) content submitted through the contact form; and (4) access logs such as pages viewed and browser type.
The contact form does not require an account or a name. Your message, the page you sent it from, and the email address if you choose to give one are stored so that we can reply and keep a record of what was reported. Giving an address is optional; without one we have no way to answer. To limit abuse of the form we also store a one-way hash of your IP address — the address itself is not stored, and the hash is not used to identify you or linked to anything else.
3. How we use information
Collected information is used to provide and improve the service, store user preferences, respond to inquiries, and prevent abuse.
5. Advertising and analytics
The Site uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service, and Google Analytics 4. These services use cookies to display ads based on your interests and to analyze usage.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. For details on third-party use of cookies, see Google's policies and terms.
6. Disclosure to third parties
The Site does not provide personal information to third parties without consent, except as required by law. External services (such as Supabase) are used for authentication and data storage.
Maps are drawn with tiles from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (OpenStreetMap outside Japan), and the "find on the map from the address" feature in the operator console uses the same authority's address search. These requests go directly from your browser to those services, so your IP address, and for the address search the address you typed, reach them. No cookies are set.
7. Management, access, correction, and deletion
The Site manages collected information appropriately and works to prevent leaks. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your registered information, please contact us via the contact form.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised as necessary. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page.
9. Contact
For questions about this policy, please use the contact form in the footer, or write to contact@search-allergy.com.
